My involvement in music started at a relatively old age, being seventeen when my best friend and I decided to become 'popstars'. Unfortunately a two piece band made up with him playing guitar and myself on drums was not the overnight success we thought it should be!... It did however give us something to look forward to do on the weekends and provided us with a bit of 'pocket money' and a boost to our ego's! Various forms of cabaret and rock bands followed until my involvement with 'The Weekend Rockstars' playing original material of a somewhat quirky nature experienced some commercial success and gave me an insight into the good and bad sides of the music industry.

It is only in the last few years that I have started to write my own songs, finding the process sometimes a little frustrating, floundering with an acoustic guitar (yes, I have heard all those drummer jokes..) but mostly rewarding and certainly a great learning experience.

The files below have been produced in a home studio, converted and resampled in an effort to keep them relatively small but still retain a reasonable audio quality, however due to this process a lot of the sound quality is diminished. Use your speakers EQ to achieve the best playback possible.

Golden Haired Son [276k]

This song is dedicated to my Son Dylan and expresses my hopes and dreams. Of all the songs that I have written this was the easiest and quickest to compose.

Falling Apart [255k]

© D.Mosele 93.

An early composition, this song has now developed a somewhat 'Jazz' feel, mainly due to the inclusion of a sax line that a friend composed which now runs through the melody.

Moonlight Gypsy [376k]
© D.Mosele 93.

This song has a country feel and tells the story of a lonely heart that has been 'battered' and 'bruised' and is in need of some consoling...have you heard that theme before?

Thank you for listening to my samples, I will update this page from time to time in an effort to keep this site fresh. In the meantime, I would love to hear from other people interested in original music or fellow musicians or even anyone who would just like to exchange ideas or make a constructive comment.
