The Bairnsdale Citizens' Band is a Brass Band situated in Bairnsdale, a country town in Gippsland on the south-east coast of Victoria, Australia.

Band practice is every Thursday night with the Training Band from 6:00 to 7:00 and the Senior Band from 7:15 to 9:30.

The band welcomes new players and can cater for people of any age wanting to learn a brass instrument.

The Band with around 35 active members plays an important part in the community performing at events such as Carols By Candlelight, Corowa Federation Festival (intersate), Bright "Autumn Festival", Christmas Carols around Bairnsdale, Lakes Entrance and Paynesville, ANZAC day ceremonies and many other community events throughout the entire East Gippsland region.


The Band has just competed in the "City of Sale Eisteddfod". We performed very well with a Second Place in the Entertainment section and several of our members winning and placing well in solo and party sections. We also won the "Street March" beating our arch rivals "Sale City Band" by only one point. ( Only fair - they won the annual Cricket Challenge ! )
